CARHUA


Carhua, is well-known like "the Eternal Fiancèe of the $andes" or also affectionately like; Carhua I want to You, is a beautiful locality, located to 3.250 m.s.n.m.. This located in the Province of Sings and department of Lima.

The Carhua word derives from the word quechua Carua, that means yellow earth, in clear reference to the near place of Kayar-punko that has that characteristic singular indeed.

It is arrived at Sings taking the freeway Tupac Amaru that extends until the city of Sings, capital of the Province of the same name, soon passs by the locality of Pariamarca, until arriving at the community farmer from Carhua.

The population of Carhua has by economic activities to agriculture and the cattle ranch. In agriculture it is characterized by the culture of habas, maize, oca, alverjón, mashua, olluco, but in special of the black or "flat Pope canteña" which has given the great prestige to the Province. In the cattle ranch they emphasize the raising of cattle and wool; the cattle is bred for the production of milk and meat, as well as in milky derivatives, like the cheese, requesón, mantequilla, yogurt and to manjar white on small and great scale. Carhua widely was recognized by the pausterizada milk production, this activity was in charge of the Milk Cooperative. At the present time, the community Farmer administers a company of wool cattle, for which it counts on approximately 600 heads of cattle.

The settlers of Carhua are eminently catholic, he is by whom venerate like santo pattern to San Miguel Arcángel, whose celebration or supervisory celebration is made every year, from the 28 of September to the 04 of October, being the 29 the central day and Eighth day 3. Also, one venerates San Bartholomew, the Virgin of Asuncio'n, Santa Rosa of Lima, San Martín de Porres, that constitutes the costumbristas but small religious celebrations.

At the Carhua present time it counts on services of initial education, primary, and secondary (Huascaran Plan), Internet and cover of cellular telephony.

In the tourist aspect Carhua a ecologico tourism offers to his distinguished visitors and of adventure.

By his geografica location Carhua it is a viewpoint natural, but additional to this; in the high part of the town the called hills are located San Cristóbal, where the Lomera Cross is located, and hill of Coporcco mine, which constitutes in provincial viewpoints, since from those places an ample and beautiful panorama can be observed, as well as the localities of Lachaqui, Viscas, Pariamarca, Sings, Obrajillo, Huacos, Huaros, Acochaca, San Miguel, San Buenaventura, San Jose, Shuyo, Huamantanga and Apio and both valleys that is in this province, which are irrigated by the rios Chillon and Quiskichaca or Arahuay.

But it is not believed that single adventure tourism can be made, also is possible to be made historico or arqueologico tourism, because it is counted on the Chullpas de Ojromarca, Orkullga and San Cristóbal. From Carhua long walks to the Stone Town in Viscas and to the ruins of Huancho and Quecas can be made in the town of San Lorenzo.

Additional to all these reasons to visit this town, Carhua offers its visitors the hospitality of its people and the comforts of a lodging of recent construction.
