LAGOON CONOCOCHA

The Conococha Lagoon, of quechua coñi cocha; hot water, this located in the Department of Ancash, to an altitude of 4.050 msnm, in the crossing of the wagon way to the Alley of Huaylas and to Chiquian.

In this lagoon Santa is born rio, who crosses 200 km with North direction, between Mountain ranges Black and White, finally to end at the sea.

Despite its extreme altitude the lake is rich in fish, asi like other species
