CORONGO VILLAGE


Corongo is a province of the department of Ancash and is divided into seven districts: Aco, Bambas, Corongo, Cusca, La Pampa, Y?nac and Yup?n. The province cradled the Pallas of Corongo, Panatahuas and Mata San Pedro

CHAMPARA - CALLAHUACA
The snowcapped muntain Champara (5735 meters) is considered a symbol and emblem of the coronguinos. Additionally, there are four more mountains: Pajra (5718 meters); Gaico (5049 meters), Cordillera or Rosko (5087 meters) and Cashcarajra or San Julian (5020 meters). The first two are considered of high difficulty by mountain climbers.

There are more than 50 lakes in the area, the most important being those in the district of Cusca: Rutu, Chaljat, Carangay, Huinchus and Sarca, formed by two lagoons.

PANATAHUAS
PANATAHUAS
The attire of a Panatahua consist of: Bonnet, mask, white shirt, black tie, colored ribbons, fringed pa?olones, trousers, llanques or ojotas, chicotillas or colored cloth with two twisted branches and one ear.


Main natural tourist attractions are the thermal spas of Pacatqui and Aticara, which have curative and relaxing properties because of its iron content, sulfur and other active elements present in the form of ions.
