MONASTERY SANTA CATALINA


The Monastery of Santa Catalina, was founded in 1579, operates as a convent closing has 3 cloisters and more than a hundred cells, these databases can be arranged along six streets and a passenger.

It occupies an area of approximately 20,000 square meters and its distribution is similar to that of the first districts of Arequipa. Presents rooms very different architecturally. One of the environments has been conditioned as art gallery to exhibit paintings of schools Cusco, Arequipa and influence Quito.
