CENTER CIVICO OF LIMA - EL CENTRO CIVICO DE LIMA
The Civic Center of Lima is a located architectonic set in the Surrounded one of Lima. It was constructed in 1970 after the dismantling of the general prison of Lima (well-known like Sixth) to lodge a set of offices and agencies of the State. Its main building is the highest building of Lima and Peru.
The main building of the Civic Center of Lima has 34 floors and more than 100 meters of height. Its style is own of the "brutalismo" (current characterized by the austere and devoid construction of ornamentos and in it rows in the Peruvian architecture of that time) and gives the impression of a great closed set. In addition to the offices that lodge in their proximities, is close the Great Sheraton Hotel, also inaugurated in these years from the existing prison.
